Copper and Tin
$4.40
A song from the bottom of a hard stretch. Sawdust on the pub floor, Sydney rain coming down the tin, and a ghost in the empty chair. ‘Copper and Tin’ is about being out of luck and holding on anyway.
'Copper and Tin' comes from the bottom of a hard stretch. A pub with sawdust on the floor, a ceiling fan losing to the heat, Sydney rain coming down the tin, and a ghost in the empty chair.
It is a song about how a low point feels from the inside: out of luck, out of friends, and still holding on. It does not explain how he got there. It stays in the room until the street lights hum.
Written by Jason Kearney and released through Polyphonic Records. Running time 5:04. MP3 download.
