TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL 2017 SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE

Tamworth music festival this year is set to be one of the biggest yet, with so many amazing acts already announced and still many more to come. One thing I love about this festival is discovering new talent, and one of the best ways I find to do this is through songwriters showcases. Every year you can find some great songwriters showcases, but this year I am getting the opportunity to take part in a great showcase with some of the best up and coming talent Australian country music has to offer. This annual showcase, Rhythm & Boots is taking place in South Tamworth Bowling Club and is set to be an electrifying and inspiring afternoon of moving and thought provoking music.

The line-up this year is truly amazing, and I feel extremely privileged to be taking part of it. On the bill for this Tamworth 2017 showcase we have Jemma Beech, Michelle Plozza, Ryan Daykin, Tanya Cornish, Hayley Wilson, Hayley Marsten and Jason Kearney. This country music showcase will kick off on Tuesday the 24th of January at 2:00pm and run till 5:00pm. This songwriters showcase is a free show and we will be holding a lucky door prize on entry, where you could win a signed copy of albums, ep’s or posters from the performing artists.

If you have never been to Tamworth Country Music Festival before, it is a must do at least once in your life, and if you have been thinking about attending before, I say put on your cowboy or cowgirl boots, chuck on your big shiny belt buckle, pull your Akubra hat down tight and make the journey, because this year folks, it’s truly worth it.

Tamworth Country Music Festival is the biggest festival in Australia which takes place over 10 days, 700 plus performers, 2800 separate events all held in the capital of Australian country music Tamworth. With an abundance of accommodation options, you still need to move quick if you’re thinking of going, because it is the biggest music festival in Australia it tends to sell out quickly, so don’t wait till the last minute as you just might miss out.
