No Matter What, All Hope Is Not Lost

Well, today is the day folks. The day our American brothers and sisters head into the polling booths to vote for either Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum, and what a choice they must make. I’m an Australian but it doesn’t mean it has nothing to do with us, because it does. Being Australian we have strong ties culturally and militarily, because what happens in the USA always filters down under and finds its way into our lives one way or another.

So, the decision that is made today by the voting US public is going to have a big impact either way the vote swings. I feel this is going to be a major turning point in the shape of things to come. So, I just wanted to wish you all the best of luck for today, as whatever happens just remember we ultimately have the power, because we are the majority. In the end, they are public servants, well that is what they are supposed to be anyway, but it is no way shape or form like that now, they are more like dictators, making decisions on our behalf that line their own pockets and the powerful corporate interests that fund and help get them into office. The corruption and backroom handshakes that go on without our knowledge is slowly coming to light, thanks to whistle blowers like Edward Snowden, Bradley Manning, and publications like WikiLeaks and our very own Julian Assange.

So if things head south we all need to stick together, and show them that this is not the kind of world we want to live in, and how do we do that? I’m not sure, but it usually starts with civil disobedience to bring in change. The way I see it if the worst thing that could happens happens tomorrow all hope is not lost, it’s just the start of an uphill climb that we all will need to be a part of.

So best of luck USA
